what's going on now is so saddening

how did things all become so wrong
we had already been through worse
i thought they made us more strong
it's like we fell under a crazy curse

to err is human and to forgive divine
we made mistakes but came through
although the fault was entirely mine
now i do know all that i should not do

i have cut and bled from my mistakes
burned and scarred i shall remember
that i am willing to do all that it takes
